There
are many types of industrial and domestic roasters. In the most
common roasters the beans are heated indirectly by a hot air
stream (often gas-fired) as they circulate inside a rotating
drum.
In
fluidised bed roasters the beans are roasted as they float in
a pressurised stream of very hot air.
